Genting Ventures is a direct venture investment vehicle operating under the Genting Group umbrella. The parent conglomerate, founded in 1965 by the late Lim Goh Tong and now chaired by his son Lim Kok Thay, owns integrated resorts including Resorts World Sentosa in Singapore, Resorts World Genting in Malaysia, and Resorts World Las Vegas. The venture arm exists to scout technology startups whose products can be deployed inside those operating businesses.

Genting Ventures generally seeks active strategic engagement, not passive limited-partner exposure. The firm's core value proposition to portfolio companies is access to Genting's operating infrastructure — meaning board observation, pilot-program facilitation, and direct relationship-building with relevant business-unit heads inside the parent group. Pure silent capital is not its primary posture.

Priority sectors map to Genting's operational footprint: hospitality technology, gaming innovation, food science and alternative proteins, entertainment, and the energy transition. The firm has shown appetite for AI-driven travel booking platforms, plant-based foods, and decarbonization tools. It avoids deep-technology categories — such as semiconductor design or drug discovery — that lie beyond any plausible integration path with Genting's physical operations.
