General Information

The Global Environment Facility (GEF) is the world's largest multilateral fund for the environment, established in 1992. It operates as an international partnership of 184 countries, international institutions, civil society organizations, and the private sector. The GEF provides grants and blended finance to developing countries to address critical environmental challenges and support major international environmental conventions.
