HEAL FOOD ALLIANCE

HEAL Food Alliance is a multi-sector, multi-racial coalition based in Chicago, United States, that builds collective power to transform food and farm systems. It is led by member organizations representing over 2 million people, including farmers, workers, indigenous groups, scientists, and advocates. The organization operates a Platform for Real Food, a Theory of Change, and a three-year plan guiding its current work. Its initiatives include the Farm Bill advocacy, the HEAL School of Political Leadership, Good Food Communities, publications and research, and the HEAL Rapid Response Fund. Past work includes the Real Meals Campaign and year-in-review reporting. HEAL Food Alliance focuses on community organizing, political leadership development, and systemic change in the food system, addressing issues such as pesticide exposure, environmental justice, and equitable food access. The coalition's approach emphasizes intersectionality, collective power, and healing as part of its political leadership training.
