Insur is controlled equally by two family-backed conglomerates: Breca Group, the Lima-based diversified holding of the Brescia family, and Algeciras Group, the Chilean investment vehicle of Eduardo Elberg. Each holds 50% of Inmobiliaria Insur S.A., the real-estate development entity. The insurance subsidiary Insur S.A. Compañía de Seguros sits under the Chilean parent Continental while maintaining a strategic partnership with Atradius Group.

The portfolio consists of commercial and mixed-use properties concentrated in Lima's prime office and residential submarkets. Confirmed assets include Prime on Avenida Jorge Basadre in San Isidro, Pardo 200 in Miraflores, Vértice 22 in Jesús María, and the Golf Los Incas residential development in Surco. The firm develops these directly through Inmobiliaria Insur rather than investing through third-party funds.

The real-estate portfolio is concentrated almost exclusively in metropolitan Lima, specifically the affluent districts of San Isidro, Miraflores, Surco, and Jesús María. The ownership group extends into Chile through Algeciras Group, and the insurance entity has a Chilean parent structure via Continental, but the property holdings themselves are domestic Peruvian assets.

Insur S.A. Compañía de Seguros operates as a general insurer in Peru, with a known specialty in trade-credit and surety insurance via its relationship with Atradius Group, one of the world's largest trade-credit insurers. The firm is a member of APESEG, Peru's insurance trade association, and provides coverage across corporate and commercial lines.
