Co-founder Allen Koski serves as Chief Innovation Officer, a role in which he oversees product architecture, carrier relationships, and underwriting partnerships, per his public professional background. Koski previously led innovation at UnitedHealthcare Global, giving the firm direct institutional knowledge of multinational benefits underwriting. Andrew Jernigan handles the operational and business-development side of the firm.

The firm targets two distinct segments: individual remote workers and digital nomads buying coverage directly, and enterprises that employ distributed international teams and want benefits embedded into payroll and onboarding. The enterprise channel positions Insured Nomads as a benefit for companies that have crossed a threshold of hiring in jurisdictions where local insurance mandates create compliance risk.

Coverage spans North America, Europe, Southeast Asia, Latin America, and Africa, with particular emphasis on corridors where digital nomad visa programs are active — such as Portugal, Estonia, Costa Rica, and Thailand. The February 2023 product launch specifically addressed a gap for US citizens residing abroad who fall outside both domestic US plans and local-market insurance eligibility.

World Nomads is the name of the bundled product combining health, travel, and life coverage — it is not a separate entity but Insured Nomads' flagship consumer offering. The naming convention is distinct from the legacy World Nomads travel insurance brand historically associated with certain Australian underwriters; Insured Nomads' product is a full-stack benefits bundle, not trip-interruption-only coverage.
