Jefferson Scholars Foundation Overview

The Jefferson Scholars Foundation is a non-profit organization established in 1980 to benefit the University of Virginia. Its mission is to identify, attract, and nurture individuals of extraordinary intellectual range and depth who possess the highest qualities of leadership, scholarship, and citizenship. The Foundation achieves this through prestigious scholarship programs for undergraduate students, fellowship programs for graduate students, and support for faculty. As of 2024, it managed an endowment of $874.9 million.
