This sourcing model is structural, not episodic, and relies on the parent's commercial footprint rather than on third-party broker networks or banker-led auctions.

JJ Ventures is a corporate venture and investment unit funded through JD.com's balance sheet and affiliated corporate vehicles, not a standalone fund with external limited partners. It does not publicly report fund vintages, LP commitments, or independent management-company economics. This structure means it can hold positions indefinitely and avoid the fund-life constraints that influence independent VC and growth equity firms.

Capital is supplied by JD.com's corporate treasury and reinvestment of operating cash flows, not from third-party institutional limited partners. Because JD.com is a publicly traded company, the ventures portfolio ultimately sits on the group's consolidated balance sheet, subject to public-company disclosure rules under Hong Kong and US securities regulations.
