Lotus Venture Partners (LVP) invests in early-stage technology companies disrupting and transforming legacy industries. Learn more at: http://lotusvp.vc/. Ray and Chris are bound not only by their close friendship and brotherhood that began during their undergraduate days at Duke University over a decade ago, but also by the stories of their immigrant families and backgrounds. Such was the genesis of LVP. In Eastern cultures, the lotus flower is an important symbol that represents knowledge, perseverance, prosperity, and longevity. Our principal mission is to invest in and partner with exceptional leaders and companies that embody these qualities and virtues. Together, Ray (Columbia Law, Skadden/Gunderson & Interplay Ventures) and Chris (Barclays, S'well) have extensive experiences in the areas of corporate finance, strategy, operations, legal, fundraising, liquidity events, equity and debt transactions, commercial partnerships and other key corporate matters, through which they provide guidance to founders. They have each independently built an expansive network of founders and investors which have now been joined together. Ray and Chris volunteer their time to serve as advisors and mentors to founders of emerging growth companies. The LVP community comprises leaders across a wide spectrum of industries and domain expertise, ranging from seasoned venture capitalists and former/current founders to c-suite management and functional experts in areas such as product, engineering, legal, operations, growth, and marketing.
