Medici's strategy spans the full company lifecycle: seed-stage, early-stage startups, expansion and growth rounds, late-stage private capital, and pre-IPO placements. The firm also operates in secondaries, acquiring direct positions from existing shareholders at various stages of company maturity. This breadth is unusual among Korean PE managers, most of whom operate dedicated early-stage venture funds or dedicated growth and buyout vehicles, but not both on one platform.

There is no public connection between Seoul-based Medici Investment and the historical Medici dynasty of Florence or any European banking institution bearing the name. The use of 'Medici' — a name strongly associated with Renaissance-era patronage and finance — is a branding choice that signals ambition, discretion, and a long-term orientation, themes the firm's limited public posture reinforces.
