The Medtronic Foundation does not operate a traditional investment portfolio separate from its parent. Grantmaking strategy is set by President Dr. Sally Saba, who also serves as Medtronic's Global Chief Inclusion, Diversity & Equity Officer. Medtronic Chairman and CEO Geoff Martha, a board member of the foundation, provides governance oversight. Operational grantmaking is managed by Senior Director of Philanthropy Liz Lund. The foundation's funding flows from Medtronic plc's annual corporate contributions rather than from an independently managed endowment.
