Ojas Venture Partners

The firm concentrates on India, primarily the Bangalore and Delhi-NCR startup ecosystems. While the fund evaluates companies across the country, its highest deal density is in these two startup hubs, which aligns with Raju's network and the firm's operator-led sourcing model.

Ojas frequently serves as the sole institutional investor in seed rounds but will co-invest alongside other seed-stage venture firms on a deal-by-deal basis. The firm does not operate a club-deal model or require syndication with a fixed set of co-investors; its posture reflects the Indian early-stage norm of solo institutional backing with angel participation.

Ojas does not invest in consumer internet marketplaces, quick commerce, D2C brands, or pure-play e-commerce companies. Its thesis excludes sectors where winner-take-all network effects require large-scale cash burn in favor of enterprise and deeptech verticals where software differentiation and regulatory tailwinds offer structural moats.

Rajesh Raju co-founded the Kstart seed program in partnership with Kalaari Capital, a prominent Bangalore-based venture firm. Ojas Venture Partners subsequently emerged as an independent vehicle, and no ongoing operational or financial relationship between the two firms has been disclosed publicly. Raju's role at Ojas is separate from any continuing affiliation with Kalaari.
