A five-partner group sets strategy. Alexander Samwer and Jeremias Heinrich are both Founding Partners. Goga Vukmirovic covers North America, Konrad Horvath covers Australia, and Gijs Wilbers manages deal structuring as well as Italy and New Zealand investments. Horvath also serves as Managing Director of the German corporate entity.

Pelion is legally separate, but Alexander Samwer’s presence creates an observable bridge. He co-founded Picus Capital, an early-stage technology investment firm, and was a founding partner of the European Founders Fund. That history gives Pelion’s team a network into the climate-technology venture ecosystem, though the two vehicles operate distinct investment programs.

The firm does not publicly disclose a fund structure. Its project development activity resembles an on-balance-sheet developer model, supplying capital directly to renewable-energy entrepreneurs. Its platform investments — equity stakes in companies along the clean-energy value chain — are also made without reference to a closed-end vehicle. Pelion presents itself as a long-term investment partner rather than a fund manager.

Pelion states that together with its partners it is actively developing more than 15 GW of renewable energy projects globally. The firm does not specify the mix of wind, solar, and storage, nor how many gigawatts sit in construction versus early-stage permitting.

The investment team works across Europe, North America, Australia, and New Zealand. Pelion maintains offices in Munich and New York, and partners hold dedicated regional responsibilities for Australia, Italy, New Zealand, and the United States.
