PSA unboXed

PSA unboXed is the corporate venture capital unit of PSA International, a global port group headquartered in Singapore. It was created to make direct equity investments in startups aligned with PSA's logistics and supply chain operations. The unit reports through PSA International's corporate structure and is ultimately owned by Temasek Holdings.

Deal flow is generated through PSA International's commercial relationships with shipping lines, logistics providers, and technology vendors across more than 40 countries. The unit also sources opportunities through its participation in industry accelerators and venture networks in Singapore and other port cities. Direct inbound interest from startups seeking a strategic partner with terminal access forms another channel.

PSA unboXed has not publicly disclosed a standalone fund vehicle or committed capital pool. Its investments are financed from PSA International's corporate balance sheet. This structure allows flexible check sizes aligned with strategic objectives rather than fund-cycle constraints, though it limits outside visibility into total deployment.

The unit targets early-stage and growth-stage companies, with a focus on startups that have validated their technology and are seeking commercial pilots or scale-up capital. Co-investments alongside independent venture capital firms are part of its stated approach. Late-stage or pre-IPO rounds are less common unless directly relevant to a core PSA operational priority.

Portfolio companies can access PSA International's global network of more than 60 port terminals for real-world technology pilots. This provides a testbed for logistics and supply chain innovations at commercial scale. The relationship may also open doors to PSA's customer base of major shipping lines and cargo owners.
