Resurgens targets application software, IT infrastructure and developer tools, and data-analytics platforms with tech-enabled services. It looks for capital-efficient companies generating $5–30 million in revenue, where the majority is recurring, and that have a credible path to market leadership through organic expansion and acquisitions. The firm will do majority recapitalizations, founder-owned transitions, carve-outs, and minority growth capital investments.

The firm pursues a concentrated, operationally intensive strategy centered on four pillars: product and R&D investment, alignment of world-class talent, go-to-market and operations support, and M&A strategy and execution. It takes majority stakes in software businesses and then embeds its own operating partners and functional specialists to accelerate growth, rather than relying on financial engineering or heavy leverage.

Known portfolio companies include Investment Metrics (an institutional-investor analytics firm founded by Sanjoy Chatterjee), MCIM by Fulcrum Collaborations (infrastructure management, founded by Michael Dongieux), EnergyCap (utility and energy management, founded by Steve Heinz), AgencyBloc (insurance agency management, founded by Adam Lewis), and CaseIQ (legal workflow software, led by CEO David McNeill). The firm maintains a deliberately small portfolio to concentrate resources on each investment.

The firm invests in companies headquartered in North America, Europe, and Australia. Its own headquarters is in Atlanta, Georgia.

Resurgens structures its deals to allow founders to take liquidity while remaining meaningfully involved and reinvested. The firm's operating partners and talent team integrate directly with portfolio companies, helping founders build out executive leadership, product roadmaps, and go-to-market functions. Multiple founders in its portfolio have publicly stated that they chose Resurgens because they would not become a minor entry in a large portfolio and could get hands-on operational support tailored to their business.
