Safecor Health repackages bulk oral solid and liquid medications into unit-dose, barcoded packages and bar-coded oral syringes. Its primary customers are hospital pharmacies and health systems across the United States that use bar-code medication administration (BCMA) to scan medications at the bedside. The firm also serves federal health systems, including the Department of Defense and the Veterans Health Administration.

Safecor is registered with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration as a drug repackager and is subject to current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) regulations under 21 CFR Parts 210 and 211. The firm holds a Drug Enforcement Administration registration for handling controlled substances and maintains pharmacy-board licensure in every state into which it ships finished doses. Its labels are designed to meet the FDA bar code label requirements codified at 21 CFR Part 201.25.

Safecor Health was formerly a portfolio company of Excellere Partners, a Denver-based private equity firm that invested in 2012 to scale automation and expand the Columbus operational footprint. Ownership later passed through transactions involving Prestige Consumer Healthcare and subsequent financial sponsors, though the firm has consistently operated under the Safecor Health trade name.
