Sapphire is a distinct legal entity and brand, but it was established under Polaris Capital Group, a major Japanese buyout manager. Polaris provides sponsorship and operational support, and Director Yuzo Kanemori holds a concurrent role as Polaris vice president. Investment decisions are made by Sapphire's own committee, not dictated by the parent.
