Sasfin Holdings delisted from the JSE on 20 December 2024 and restructured as an investment-holding company. The two disclosed cornerstones are Otto1890, a standalone wealth and investment specialist incorporating private-market capabilities and the associate DMA, and Sunlyn, a long-established rental-finance franchise that raised R2 billion in institutional funding during 2025.

The group’s primary investment vehicle Sunlyn relies on securitisation and banking facilities as its core funding sources, indicating a balance-sheet-oriented model rather than pure equity deployment. Specific equity versus credit allocation metrics are not publicly disclosed.

Sasfin does not publicly identify an investment committee or named investment professionals for the private equity operation. Wealth division Otto1890 operates with its own board, while Sunlyn is managed by a team described as industry veterans.

The firm is headquartered in Johannesburg and its disclosed holdings are South Africa-focused. Otto1890 has developed a global investment strategy, but the scale and location of offshore commitments remain undisclosed.
