Sentech

SeCaP is a proprietary non-intrusive electrical capacitance sensor that clamps to the outside of pipes and vessels. It measures the dielectric properties of fluid mixtures to determine water, oil, gas, foam, and emulsion layers without contacting the process stream. Because it introduces no pressure drop and tolerates temperatures up to 225°C, it has become Sentech’s core hardware platform for both the Level Profiler and Water Cut Meter lines.

A multiphase meter measures water cut alongside flow rates of oil, gas, and water. Sentech positions its Water Cut Meter as a lower-cost alternative when water fraction knowledge is more critical than volumetric flow data. The meter reads the full 0–100% water range, detects flow regimes, and installs non-intrusively — attributes that make it a fit-for-purpose replacement in applications where operators do not need full phase flow rates.

Sentech supplies the global oil and gas industry, with confirmed deployments in Canadian oil sands (Suncor), the Norwegian Continental Shelf, and producing fields served by Piper Energy. The SeCaP sensor is rated for harsh, high-temperature service up to 225°C and is used in applications where sand, scale, corrosion, and hydrates challenge traditional intrusive instruments.

Sentech’s public materials are focused exclusively on oil and gas produced-water management, separation optimization, and multiphase measurement. The firm’s sensor physics are broadly applicable to any industrial process where dielectric discrimination of liquids and gases is required, but the firm has not publicly disclosed participation in biofuel, carbon capture, hydrogen, or chemical processing installations.
