Unlike venture units tied to Samsung, LG, Hyundai, or SK Group — which often invest strategically to support parent-company ecosystems — The Wells Investment is an independent asset manager. This independence lets it pursue purely financial returns across any sector and exit via IPO or trade sale without corporate-strategy constraints. The trade-off is that it does not have the captive deal flow or patient capital that chaebol VCs enjoy.
