Brad Brooks co-founded TigerConnect in 2010 and serves as CEO. His brother, Dr. Andrew Brooks, an orthopedic surgeon, co-founded the company and serves as Chief Medical Officer. Brad Brooks brought entrepreneurial and sales experience from prior tech ventures, while Andrew Brooks provided the clinical insight to design a platform that replaces hospital pagers with modern secure messaging.

TigerConnect sells enterprise SaaS contracts to hospitals, health systems, and post-acute care organizations. Pricing is typically structured per licensed bed or per user, creating recurring revenue tied to the scale of the deploying institution. The company does not monetize patient data or sell advertising.

TigerConnect raised venture funding from multiple rounds, with Vista Equity Partners leading a growth investment in 2020. Earlier investors included Shasta Ventures, Silver Lake Waterman, and Invus (per Crunchbase and the firm's announcements). The company has not disclosed whether it has raised additional private equity capital since the Vista transaction.

TigerConnect has acquired several companies to broaden its clinical-communication capabilities, including Critical Alert, a nurse-call platform, and Twiage, a pre-hospital communication startup. These acquisitions moved the product suite from simple secure messaging into alarm management, scheduling, and emergency-department workflow coordination.

TigerConnect integrates with major EHR systems via APIs and HL7 interfaces to pull on-call schedules, patient contexts, and care-team assignments. This integration allows messages to route to the correct physician based on live clinical data, rather than relying on static contact lists — a feature that differentiates the platform from generic enterprise messaging tools.
