Toda deploys enterprise capital from its own corporate balance sheet, not institutional LP commitments. The firm is a publicly traded operating company — a general contractor — that acquires, develops, and holds real assets directly. Toda owns commercial real estate in California and Arizona, residential assets in Jakarta, a shopping center in Brazil, and onshore wind projects in Brazil. The firm also maintains a philanthropic footprint in West Africa through the TODAbidjan Foundation. International deployment is project-by-project rather than through separate regional funds.

Toda originates greenfield infrastructure and agritech projects through its in-house engineering and development teams, leveraging its standing as a tier-one Japanese contractor. The Goto Floating Offshore Wind Farm was developed in Nagasaki with government and utility cooperation, while Agriscience Valley Joso represents a proprietary corporate R&D-to-venture pipeline.

The founding Toda family, in conjunction with Daiichi Shokusan, retains approximately 26% of the company's shares and exerts significant influence over strategic direction. Chairperson Masanori Imai and President Seisuke Otani are the senior fiduciaries responsible for capital allocation and project approval.

Toda partnered with Fujitsu and JTB Corp. on an NFT-powered digital transformation project, indicating a willingness to collaborate with corporate peers on technology-enabled ventures outside its traditional construction and real estate core. The project was domestic, Japan-based.
