Trace3 is an operating company — an IT services and consulting integrator — that is itself majority-owned by private equity firm H.I.G. Capital since 2017. The firm has completed multiple add-on acquisitions under H.I.G. ownership, including Tail Wind Informatics and Groupware Technology, to expand its engineering capacity in data, cloud, and cybersecurity.

Trace3 serves large enterprises and professional sports franchises that need custom IT architecture and engineering. Confirmed public clients include the Los Angeles Lakers and San Diego Padres, where the firm built data platforms and back-end infrastructure. It focuses on organizations that cannot accept the failure risk of generic solution templates and require hands-on engineering integration.

Trace3 does not publicly report assets under management because it is not an investment firm. As a private, PE-backed operating company, it does not disclose revenue, profit, or total deployment figures. Any estimate of scale would be derivable only from its acquisition history and employee footprint, which the firm does not formally publish.
