Chief Investment Officer Laura Wickström leads the investment function. She reports to the CEO — currently transitioning from Carl Haglund to Elina Fogelholm, who assumes the role in 2026. The Board of Directors, chaired by Gisela Knuts, provides governance oversight.

Four Finnish-Swedish foundations hold controlling stakes: Åbo Akademin säätiö (19.84%), Stiftelsen Eschnerska Frilasarettet (19.59%), Svenska litteratursällskapet i Finland (12.94%), and Föreningen Konstsamfundet (10.51%).

Veritas invests directly in Finnish commercial and residential properties. Named holdings include Veritas Stadion, Kauppakeskus Lauttis, the Taideyliopistokampus Mylly development, and residential portfolios across Helsinki, Espoo, Vantaa, Turku, and Mariehamn. This direct-property bias is more pronounced than at larger Finnish pension insurers.

Veritas is a statutory earnings-related pension insurance company operating under the TyEL system, which covers private-sector employees. It is smaller than Varma and Ilmarinen but competes in the same market for employer clients. Unlike those mutual insurers, Veritas is foundation-owned.

The firm is a PRI signatory and holds WWF Green Office certification for its headquarters. Membership in TELA aligns it with Finnish pension-sector sustainability frameworks. It supports the Baltic Sea Action Group and the Children and Youth Foundation as part of its civic engagement.
