XP Asset Management is a wholly-owned division within XP Inc., the publicly traded Brazilian investment platform. It functions as the dedicated asset management arm responsible for constructing and distributing fund-of-funds products to XP's client base. The parent company's broader ecosystem — which includes brokerage, private banking, and insurance — feeds investor capital into the asset management unit's alternative investment vehicles.

XP Asset Management operates as a manager of managers, not a direct investor. It commits capital to external venture capital, private equity, and other alternative funds rather than making direct equity investments into operating companies. This fund-of-funds structure is designed to give XP's clients diversified exposure to strategies and managers they could not access individually.

The primary investor base consists of XP Inc.'s high-net-worth retail clients and, to a growing extent, smaller institutional allocators in Brazil. The firm aggregates commitments from these individual and institutional sources into fund-of-funds vehicles, enabling minimum investment thresholds that would be impractical for most investors to meet directly with underlying fund managers.

Venture capital is the core strategy, with allocations across Brazilian and international VC fund managers. The firm has expanded into growth equity, private credit, and real asset strategies over time, reflecting XP Inc.'s product development push. The venture exposure spans generalist and, increasingly, sector-focused funds targeting technology opportunities in Brazil and globally.

The capital deployed is client-sourced, not proprietary. XP Asset Management structures feeder funds and fund-of-funds products that pool commitments from XP's wealth management and brokerage clients. The firm does not invest from XP Inc.'s corporate balance sheet as a core component of its mandate.
