Bruce Berkowitz, the managing member, directs all investment activity. Berkowitz was previously the founder and chief investment officer of Fairholme Capital Management, where he was named Morningstar's Fund Manager of the Decade in 2010. The office does not appear to employ additional investment professionals beyond Berkowitz himself.

Berkowitz's sourcing relies on deep fundamental research into publicly traded companies and real assets, rather than private deal networks or auction processes. His long-term board role at The St. Joe Company also provides operational-level insight into Florida real-estate markets, creating a sourcing channel unavailable to passive investors.

BBN Management's known investment pattern is almost entirely direct public-equity and real-asset positions. There is no public record of the office committing to third-party private funds or participating in commingled vehicles. The portfolio is defined by concentrated, directly held stakes rather than fund-of-funds allocations.
