Blue Diamond Capital was established in 2007 to manage assets of the Bingham Family Trust. Marc Bingham created the office following the exit from Phone Directories Company. The firm maintains a diversified approach that pairs investment returns with community projects such as the Bingham Family Clinic scheduled to open in late 2025. The office allocates across real estate development, hospitality, multifamily housing, commercial rentals and private equity. Confirmed holdings include Visionary Homes, PEG Development, Rimrock Construction, multiple Courtyard by Marriott and Hyatt Place properties in Utah, Idaho, Alaska and British Columbia, plus Desert Color master-planned community in St. George, Utah. Geographic reach covers the United States and Canada with emphasis on direct ownership and joint ventures rather than third-party fund vehicles. Deployment occurs through a small internal team that includes Michael Bingham as Chief Investment Officer and partners Brandon Ball and Michael McKay. The office maintains one headquarters location in Provo. Philanthropic activity runs through the Marc C. & Deborah H. Bingham Foundation with grants directed to Brigham Young University, Utah State University, the Hoover Institution and the Max Planck Institute. No material operational events have been recorded in the last 24 months. The structure separates investment decisions from the family’s operating businesses while retaining direct control over real-asset acquisitions and development joint ventures. This setup allows the office to act as both principal and frequent co-developer without external fund mandates.
