Hassan Allam Holding traces its roots to 1936 when the Allam family established operations in Egypt. Amr Allam and Hassan Allam serve as co-CEOs while Kamal Allam holds the chair. The family built the enterprise through successive construction and development contracts before formalizing an investment and development arm. The firm commits capital across infrastructure, real estate and energy assets. It executes direct co-investments and SPVs rather than fund commitments. Confirmed positions include Benban Solar Plant in Aswan, Noatum Ports Safaga Terminal, Swan Lake North Coast residential project and Mivida Gardens mixed-use development. Operations span Egypt, Saudi Arabia, other African markets and additional MENA countries. The group also holds interests in mobility manufacturing and wastewater treatment facilities. The enterprise employs 50,000 people across its subsidiaries. It maintains the Essam and May Allam Foundation as a separate philanthropic vehicle. Amr Allam sits on the YPO board and serves as vice president of the American Chamber of Commerce in Egypt. In May 2026 Hassan Allam Construction Saudi supported commissioning of the Coral Nursery for King Abdullah University of Science and Technology. The family maintains an integrated operating company structure that supplies proprietary project flow to the investment platform. This architecture allows direct execution of large-scale infrastructure without reliance on external managers. Governance remains concentrated within the Allam family across both construction and capital allocation decisions.
