Inova Health System was founded in 1956 as a community hospital and has grown into the dominant care provider for Northern Virginia and the Washington, D.C. metro, operating under the direction of President and CEO J. Stephen Jones. The organization holds an expansive commercial real estate footprint that includes the flagship Inova Fairfax Medical Campus, the Inova Center for Personalized Health in Merrifield, and future hospital sites in Franconia-Springfield and Alexandria's WestEnd. The system's liquid investment portfolio is managed through a diversified strategy spanning venture capital, growth equity, buyout, distressed debt, mezzanine, and special situations. Known real-asset holdings include the Amberleigh Land parcel on Gallows Road, a former headquarters building at 8110 Gatehouse Road, and the Inova Fairfax Hospital Heliport.
