Lacy Diversified Industries was restructured in 1972 after the Lacy family built U.S. Corrugated-Fibre Box Company into one of the largest independent producers of corrugated shipping containers. J.A. Lacy, the fourth-generation family leader, serves as CEO and President. The underlying wealth originated in corrugated packaging manufacturing before the family applied operational expertise to new sectors. The firm targets buyouts and growth investments in manufacturing, distribution and supply-chain services. It commits permanent capital through direct acquisitions and majority ownership positions rather than fund commitments. Confirmed current holdings include OIA Global, a third-party logistics provider, Polygon, a manufacturer of composite components, and Acme Barricades, a highway safety company. Minority positions include Genesis Rail and UltiMed. Operations span North America with businesses employing more than 3,000 people across more than 20 countries. LDI maintains offices in Indianapolis and Coppell, Texas. The firm has completed six platform investments over the last 25 years, three of which remain active. J.A. Lacy also serves on boards including Citizens Energy Group, Telamon Corporation and Auxo Marine Holdings. The family participates in the Stanley K. Lacy Executive Leadership Series and the Central Indiana Corporate Partnership.
