NXMH was established in 2011 by Jung-Ju Kim, co-founder of the Korean online-gaming company Nexon. Kim died in February 2022; control of the balance sheet passed to his wife Yoo Jung-hyun, who also chairs NXC Corporation. The office maintains an evergreen structure funded entirely by the Nexon liquidity event. Capital is allocated across private equity buyouts, early-stage venture, digital assets, and direct real-estate holdings. Confirmed positions include stakes in Korbit and Bitstamp, a partnership interest in Collaborative Fund, and commercial properties at 347 Bowery and 738 Broadway in New York. The firm also holds the Central Pangyo mixed-use development in South Korea and maintains exposure to European consumer and luxury sectors. Geographic reach covers Europe, North America, and Asia. The team consists of investment professionals based in Brussels with additional oversight from NXC Corporation in South Korea. Frédéric Lammens serves as Managing Director; Hendrik Ghys acts as Investment Manager and co-founder of Thalex. In the last twenty-four months the office has continued to hold its Korbit and Bitstamp equity positions without new public fundraises. Adjacent vehicles include the Nexon Foundation and the C Program philanthropic entities. NXMH differs from typical single-family offices through its hybrid mandate that blends Asian LP relationships with European direct-control investments. The structure permits majority ownership of operating companies rather than minority fund commitments, and it maintains an internal cryptocurrency desk alongside traditional private-equity activity.
