Frequently asked questions
Who runs investment decisions at PWJOHNSON WEALTH & LEGACY?
Philip W. Johnson, the founder and managing principal, directs investment activity. The office's compact structure concentrates decision-making authority with the principal rather than delegating to an external investment committee. There is no public indication of a separate chief investment officer.
Does PWJOHNSON WEALTH & LEGACY participate in fund commitments or only direct deals?
The office pursues both direct investments and selective fund commitments. The dual approach allows the principal to back proven managers while retaining the flexibility to originate proprietary direct positions, particularly in private equity and real assets.
What investment stages does the firm typically target?
PWJOHNSON WEALTH & LEGACY does not restrict itself to a single stage. The mandate spans early-stage venture, growth equity, buyout co-investments and mature real assets, selecting only where the time horizon and capital profile confer genuine advantage over time-constrained institutional capital.
