STRT operates two mutually reinforcing divisions. STRT Invest builds a diversified portfolio of early-stage Central European technology startups, while STRT Akadémia and KÜRT Akadémia sell corporate and open-enrollment leadership training. The education businesses generate stable cash flow that covers operating expenses, allowing the holding to be patient with venture positions and avoid forced exits during market downturns.

STRT Holding trades on the Budapest Stock Exchange's Standard market, having migrated from the BÉT Xtend platform in late 2025 alongside a public share offering. The listing provides a transparent entry point for retail and institutional investors who want exposure to privately held CEE startups without committing to a blind-pool venture fund.

Co-founder and CEO Petya Balogh drives the investment strategy, supported by Co-Founder and Investment Director Péter Langmár. Langmár previously founded Green Fox Academy, a coding bootcamp, giving the investment committee direct operating experience inside the knowledge-economy assets STRT targets.

Co-founder Balázs Fejes serves as Co-President of EPAM Systems, a global software engineering firm listed on the NYSE. The relationship is strategic rather than structural: STRT is not a corporate venture arm of EPAM, but Fejes's dual role connects the holding's portfolio companies to a global IT services network and executive-level tech-industry perspective.

While specific co-investment partners are not disclosed on the firm's public materials, Petya Balogh's founding roles in the Hungarian Business Angel Network and Startup Hungary provide the firm with broad visibility into deal syndicate formation. STRT participates in seed and startup rounds where co-investor dynamics are typical for the Hungarian and CEE ecosystems.

Petya Balogh articulated a clear position in a widely covered April 2026 HVG op-ed: he argues the state should not pick winners through direct equity investments. Instead, government should act as a regulator, first customer, and infrastructure builder — 'paving the road' from scientific discovery to market success — leaving capital allocation to private investors.

STRT Holding is not a pure venture firm. In addition to STRT Invest's startup portfolio, the company owns and operates two leadership academies — STRT Akadémia and KÜRT Akadémia — which generate recurring revenue. This makes STRT a hybrid investment company where operational earnings from education subsidize the venture activity.
