Titan Grove was established in 2012 by Jeffrey Tannenbaum. His prior career included founding Fir Tree Partners in 1994 and serving as board chairman at multiple public and private companies. Wealth origin traces to hedge-fund activities at Fir Tree rather than an operating-company exit. The firm allocates across three asset classes: private equity for growth, acquisition or recapitalization; sustainable real estate focused on energy retrofits and tenant wellness; and impact-driven asset management vehicles. Confirmed positions include majority ownership of Higg Co after its carve-out from the Sustainable Apparel Coalition and founding ownership of NextEdge, which completed 4,000 small-cell deployments. Earlier holdings encompassed sPower, sold to AES Corp and AIMCo in June 2017 for $1.6 billion, and CiG Wireless, sold in May 2015 for $150 million. All activity remains within North America, primarily the United States. Titan Grove maintains no disclosed headcount or additional offices. It operates as a Certified B Corporation and sponsors the Titan Grove Foundation Inc. and Fir Tree Philanthropies. Jeffrey Tannenbaum also founded PACENation, the nonprofit that scaled Property Assessed Clean Energy financing. Mark Cirilli and Cisco DeVries serve as advisors with prior experience at MissionPoint Partners and Renew Financial respectively. Titan Grove differs from typical single-family offices through its requirement that every platform generate both predictable free cash flow and documented social or environmental outcomes. The structure relies on permanent balance-sheet capital rather than fund cycles, allowing direct control and repeated recapitalization without external limited-partner timelines.
