Investment decisions are made by co-founders and General Partners Roshun Patel and Akshay Patel. Roshun brings M&A and corporate venture experience from McKesson Ventures, while Akshay adds a deep technical lens from his time as an engineer at Oracle. The partners leverage this operational background to personally support portfolio company technical roadmaps.

The firm focuses on pre-seed and seed-stage companies, frequently providing the first institutional capital. Valhalla executes both priced equity rounds and convertible instruments such as SAFEs. The strategy targets technical founders at the earliest stages of company formation, before traditional Series A funds typically engage.

Valhalla Ventures often leads or co-leads pre-seed and seed rounds in its core sectors. The firm's posture is to take an active board or board-observer role when leading. In follow-on rounds, Valhalla typically co-invests alongside larger deep-tech and multi-stage firms that enter at the Series A stage.

The firm targets technical sectors at the intersection of hardware and software, including artificial intelligence, space and satellite technology, industrial automation, and computational biology. Valhalla explicitly avoids consumer internet, pure B2C applications, and non-technical marketplaces.

The partners act as operating partners during the first year of investment, providing hands-on support for product architecture, go-to-market strategy for enterprise sales, and technical recruitment.
