Baoyinjin Investment

Zhuang Jianxin, the founder and ultimate controller of Yinhuan Group, oversees Baoyinjin Investment. His dual role as Chairman and Party Secretary of the parent group consolidates investment authority. The firm does not publicly disclose a separate CIO or investment committee structure.

Yinhuan Group, Baoyinjin's parent, operates Baoyin Special Material Technology as a joint venture with China Baowu Steel Group, the world's largest steelmaker. This partnership creates a direct channel for Baoyinjin to evaluate and invest in advanced materials and specialty steel technologies that feed into Baowu's supply chain.

The firm's known activity is concentrated in mainland China, particularly within the Yangtze River Delta region, where its parent group's manufacturing base is located. There is no public record of direct investments outside China. Baoyinjin's thesis is built around proximity to Yinhuan Group's industrial operations and Chinese state-guided supply-chain priorities.

Through Yinhuan Group, Baoyinjin maintains joint ventures with two centrally-administered state-owned enterprises: China Baowu Steel Group in specialty materials and China General Nuclear Power Group in nuclear equipment manufacturing. Founder Zhuang Jianxin also serves as a representative to the Jiangsu Provincial People's Congress. These connections give Baoyinjin deal flow and policy insight unavailable to purely private venture firms.

Zhuang Jianxin separately oversees the Hufu Zhuang Jianxin Charity Foundation, which operates community services including a meal center for the elderly in Yixing, and has contributed to the Westlake Education Foundation, which supports Westlake University. These philanthropic vehicles are legally distinct from Baoyinjin Investment.

Baoyinjin targets the full venture lifecycle, from seed-stage startups through expansion and late-stage rounds. Its mandate is broad, reflecting the varied technology needs of its parent group's manufacturing operations across specialty materials, nuclear equipment, and related industrial sectors.

The firm concentrates on advanced materials, industrial technologies, nuclear energy supply chain, and broader energy transition themes. Its sector focus derives directly from Yinhuan Group's operating businesses and its joint ventures with China Baowu Steel and CGN.
