Krungsri Asset Management

Krungsri Asset Management is a wholly owned subsidiary of Bank of Ayudhya (Krungsri), which is in turn 76.88% owned by Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (MUFG) of Japan (per public filings, 2023). Siriporn Sinacharoen serves as the Managing Director overseeing day-to-day operations. The MUFG parentage places the firm within a regional asset-gathering network that extends across ASEAN.

The firm runs Thai equity funds, domestic fixed-income strategies, and property/infrastructure vehicles. Its flagship products include funds tracking the SET Index and Thai REIT mandates. Money-market funds are also significant, serving corporate cash-management needs through the Krungsri distribution platform.

It is a traditional asset manager structured as a bank subsidiary. There is no family-office link — the firm pools retail and institutional capital through public mutual funds, provident funds, and private mandates, all distributed primarily through the Bank of Ayudhya branch network in Thailand.

MUFG acquired a majority stake in Bank of Ayudhya in 2013, and Krungsri Asset Management now functions as part of MUFG's ASEAN asset management architecture. This provides the firm with a capital and governance link to Japan's largest financial group while it remains a locally regulated Thai entity.

Its portfolios are overwhelmingly domestic. Some strategies offer selective exposure to ASEAN markets, but the firm does not operate a global equity or cross-border alternatives platform. Its primary value proposition remains onshore Thai market access.
