Frequently asked questions
What legal structure is Imoka-Immobilien-Anlagestiftung, and who does it serve?
Imoka is an Anlagestiftung — a Swiss investment foundation — a vehicle legally restricted to managing assets for Swiss occupational pension funds. It pools capital from multiple pension schemes and invests directly in real estate on their behalf. The foundation is governed by a board and operates under the regulatory oversight applicable to Swiss investment foundations.
How does Imoka differ from a Swiss real estate fund or listed vehicle?
Unlike listed real estate companies or public funds, Imoka operates as a non-profit foundation dedicated exclusively to institutional pension investors. It offers direct property ownership with no stock-market correlation or fund-level liquidity gates. Participants receive returns tied to actual property performance, not market pricing, aligning with the long-dated liabilities of Swiss pension funds.
