The firm does not publicly disclose a centralized sourcing function.

SC writes checks across minority equity, control equity, preferred equity, convertible debt, and hybrid investment securities. This flexible mandate allows it to structure deals as growth equity in companies like Athletic Greens, control positions in hospitality assets like Kent Hospitality Group, and equity stakes in leagues like the United Pickleball Association.

SC is an investor in The SpringHill Company, the media and entertainment firm founded by LeBron James and Maverick Carter. Managing Partner Jason Stein also serves as a Special Advisor to SpringHill. The relationship deepened through personnel overlap: Alexa Meltzer, now a Vice President at SC, previously spent six years as Carter's chief of staff at SpringHill before joining the firm.
